Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or any System Development-related course.
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of working experience/ apprenticeship in software development.
  • Experienced programmer.
  • With mathematical aptitude and has strong problem-solving skill.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • An understanding of the latest trends and their effect on a commercial environment.
  • Self motivated to keep up to date with fast-changing trends.
  • Team player.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Discuss with MIS Head and/ or department/ sections, the data/ information needed for creating a program.
  • Analyzes the gathered information to identify which data to read and what data structure to be created.
  • Documents the information gathered as form-part of the user acceptance requirements to be signed by the concern users.
  • Create programs using existing programming language and based on the gathered data, to create a user interface module.
  • Create a stored procedure to extract and generate the data needed for report creation.
  • Layout a report using designer to create the actual report requirement of the user.
  • Performs program troubleshooting whenever identified problem is seen or experienced to improve the accuracy of the data.
  • Performs program compiling to update and effect the changes in the current program.
  • Create additional database/tables, needed for storing/retrieving information using MS SQL.
  • Adds constrains and other table restriction to strengthen the data integrity and accuracy.
  • Implements the system/program created among group of users, to replace their manual routine to automated one.
  • Facilitates training of the users on those new modules/reports to make sure that it is well and completely understood and utilize by the user.
  • Attends user concerns raise by means of Tweet (instant messages) to answer them in their need concerning data changes/correction or system verification that are only valid or with approval of concern department/section.
